Lieper 2

two male Lieper are testing one another's strength by the brightness of their feathers colors. weak males and even females feathers turn more grey if they are too weak to feed. the nuts they prefer has a bluish color which will show in their feathers as the Lieper consume them.
exactly like a flamenco turn pink of the shellfish they eat.  

they might look like a bird, but their lifestyle is closer to a squirrel and even they have many predators, this bird like squirrel do pretty well thanks to its quick reproduction.
